Properly maintaining a commercial motor vehicle is a motor carrier’s responsibility and is an important part of preventing crashes. This course is designed to help you understand the requirements for vehicle maintenance and records required to be kept by motor carriers to show the maintenance, repairs, and inspections being performed. Out of service rates and how they can affect a motor carrier’s CSA score and a motor carrier’s safety rating during an FMCSA investigation. Which vehicles are subject to the federal regulations (FMCSRs).
